lolOnce the birds get used to it - it may be ok.
You could just wait till England get knocked out in the early stages.
Early stages of what?
methinks you aren't quite up to speed here.

I wish I hadn't bothered to post the question. I am being judged by people who don't know me or my neighbour. I asked a simple question, and I am being slated.
I thought this was supposed to be a helpful forum. Not a nasty, judgemental one.
And yes, it is important to continue feeding birds at this time of year!
Kelpie, aren't there more important things going on in this world for you to worry about, other than to criticise people you don't know?
Tina - thanks for your support.
Unfortunately you'll find there are a lot of people on here with whom you would not agree about many issues. Open forum...

I have many Scottish friends who would happily burn it for you.
On a serious note, I would probably wait until the wee hours of the morning, when morons are usually in a beer induced slumber, then sneakily take it down. Then the next day loudly talk about the freak wind there was the night before, they should come to their own conclusion and hopefully not get another one.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. thats sounds like a moronic ideaReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -
If it was me there are two things I could do.
The first get a German flag and put up especially if he's a football fan. Remind him of the World Cup.
Secondly and this is what I would do. If the flag drapes over your property get a piece of string/cord and a very heavy weight, gather it up tie it to the weight so it can't flap around. If he says anything just say it's on your property and go swivel!!0 -
Not as moronic as your face.
(take THAT muahahahaha)

Is the wide white band at the top and by the "flagpole"?
If not, just tell him that it's upside down. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Someone who lives near me put up a huge St George's flag for (I presume) the Euro '96 tournament. 16 years later, it's still there, filthy dirty, fluttering forlornly in tatters, atop a very tall flagpole at the end of his garden, which backs onto the railway line. I see it every day when I go to work.
So I wouldn't bank on your neighbour taking his down after the Jubilee/Olympics/Euro 2012.
