A couple of years ago I managed to womble one with 418 points on it. Most of it was clothing that had been returned so I thought they say no. However they just scanned it and the clubcard and crossed through the barcode.0 -

I think it's a good way of letting all the UK know that they're part of the Olympics too, not just those around London and the major sporting venues.
And it must provide some sorely needed jobs and extra revenue on its way around
So I can happily ignore why it was recently introduced.
Well said :T:T:T.Hope is not a strategy.0 -

I have been keeping up on my phone but not thanked any posts, that will happen when I get home tomorrow. Looking forward to a hot bath and my own bed :-)
Quick thank you to the person who gave me details of the Tesco at Manchester Piccadilly, will do my best to get there and find something, even if it's 10p marmalade!!
Also, in reply to happy's question, it's 3G I'm having a problem with, wifi works fine
"see" you all properly tomorrow! Will probably end up with RSI from all the thanks button pressing I need to do lol
I too have had problems with 3G recently.. I just go into their gateway and go into their wizard and just go through the next next and next and refresh, and it sorts itself out for me...RootedNomad wrote: »MMW is right - DTD can be a huge incentive for hunting down the glitches/misprices.
But I also think there are far more glitches at T because they have a pricing strategy which is deliberately manipulative - within the space of only a couple of weeks prices or offers on single product lines can change several times. Designed to lull the customer into thinking they are getting a bargain but certainly also makes it much harder for the IT and shopfloor staff to always keep up and get the tills and sels right. Hence the reason that they have the DTD policy in the first place. And as has been pointed out time and time again, T is no slouch in terms of data gathering and interpretation, so taking into account glitchy prices and DTD payouts, Ts will on average come in way ahead.
S and A have much more stable pricing structures and their offers tend to be for longer periods, so easier to maintain pricing integrity.
I too tend to think that because T's have so many different stores with different prices eg Stores, Extra, Express etc etc.. I think they trip up on different glitches because of this... It's a heck of a lot of work to keep up with the amount of different structures that T's have... With A's and S's there's just the one price that covers all stores..0 -
