I used to be a big coupon user, but now not so much and the deals I see about using them are from this thread of many facets. From my coupon days I remember your name and MT, I looked at the coupon thread recently and saw that MT still has the opening posts, she's been there a along time now and it looks like she still does a great job.

I read your post (maybe wrongly) that the posters on this thread take and give nothing back.

I don't know how to link to different posts so I'll have to put post numbers in my response. On 2nd June post 6727, MrRumples posted about some RTC items they'd found in A, just a few posts later 6734 MT commented that there was already a thread about these and put a link to them. That thread has been running since 29th May, way before anything was noticed by anyone on this thread.

If anyone posts their finds on this thread and MT wants more details, she asks and it's given, I posted a reponse to a question for FK yesterday, and FK responded too.

MT clearly reads this thread as she asks for more information which is then duly provided. Whilst it would be easier for MT if all details were posted on the RTC thread, some of the items might not be on that thread at all if MT hadn't taken the details from here. I'm not saying she shouldn't take them from here, she is doing a brilliant job collating information from various threads. She has asked very nicely for posters to add to the RTC thread too but many on here stick to posting on this thread. It's a friendly thread, nothing is hidden and the chat can be about anything, it very supportive and there's lots of drivel. A mixture of everything, just like the coupon thread used to be.

Whilst I agree that it would be helpful if any RTC items at A were added to that thread I don't like the way you have called the posters here as selfish, that they are not. It would have been much better to have given a friendly reminder, on a friendly thread.

Edit - I've just been onto the RTC thread to thanks MT's post (I'm still not good at logging on and thanking) and I saw some baking reductions and remembered they had been mentioned on here a fair few days before MrR posted about some other reductions.

I remember you from the "Good Old Days" of couponing. Unfortunately now there isn't much worthwhile in coupons as there is hardly any around:( I would give up all my dtd wine and Baileys to return to the old coupon days;)

I have no idea who found the first rtd Asda item, whether it was MT or someone on here, I just know that MT has started a fab thread and hopefully she will continue with it, but I find it very hard to keep up with this thread when I also keep up with the drivel, grabbit and coupon threads, so just pop onto here when I have a bit of spare time and read the most recent ones, so know MT is struggling to keep up with you and notice any new things any of you find in Asda to post on the other thread.

I know most of the time this is a very friendly thread and yes it does remind me of the old coupon thread sometimes, but there are people who want to keep things to yourselves and hidden from others (e.g. a few days ago someone wanted the thread moved to discussion time to hide it). The thing about the old coupon thread was that any coupons were never hidden they were all on the front pages for everyone to use, on here it has been openly admitted that coded words are used to post about glitches/1p finds so you cannot just search easily for them. I have taken a few things from here when I have stumbled across them to the drivel thread (like the hotel chocolate comp) but I always post a link to the original poster on here so people can give thanks.

I'm going back to semi lurking again, just wanted to respond/say my piece.:D

On a totally different note, has anyone bothered putting any price checks in today? I have 6 receipts from Monday which should all produce over £10 but I don't want to put them in and get N/A on them all so am waiting till I know it is working again.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    Huggies Nappies @ Sainsbobs:

£10 per box until 12th June, nectar points, order online with groceries or buy in store.
    • Huggies Super Giant Box, Size 3 x128 nappies = 7.8p per nappy
    • Huggies Super Giant Box, Size 4 x112 nappies = 8.9p per nappy
    • Huggies Super Giant Box Size 5 x96 nappies = 10.4p per nappy
BUT ... Size 5 (for example) is £11 at Asda (although out of stock on mysupermarket.com) ... so if you can find them instore you'd get them for £9 (£10 less 10%) with Asda's Price Guarantee :T

Even cheaper if you have any £5 off £40 APG's;) Make sure you buy 8 diff items though. Huggies wipes are also £2.59 (3 for 1) at Sainsbury's (£1 in Asda) and each different one is a different item. An even better deal if you have the £1 coupons off the asda baby boxes.;)

I know you all like to keep things to yourselves with the Tesco glitches but don't you think it is VERY selfish to take the details from the Asda reduced to clear thread and not add your finds to it? MT has enough to do keeping the coupon thread up to date (another thread a lot of you take from but not seen many add to) without having to read through all your drivel to make sure she doesn't miss out on any new Asda finds to update the Asda thread.

Pics of your hauls are great, but I don't think you would have them if MT had not posted a link to the thread or started it in the first place. Come on guys, do as you complain Tesco never do and play fair please.

Just for the record, I hardly ever look at the coupon thread and have not seen the asda thread. I got the information on here.

I thank often (although my lousy memory means I often forget who I am thanking)
