evening guys and gals.....hope everyone is well....and extra big Jubilee hugs for those that need them :)

a quick question for you guys doing JTD on the meal deal.....has anyone had this confirmed as a JTD yet? The reason I ask is that I thought Ts and As took into consideration the offer....and break down the price accordingly as a %.....so as an example (not accurate figures tho), the pizza would be £2, the Ben & Jerrys £2.28 nd the garlic bread 72p....thus generating a JTD of zero.

If I'm wrong, please tell me and I'll add this to my JTD shopping list for tomorrow!!! :)
No one is 100% sure yet but in some cases they compare the full price of items . I.e the finest meal deal wine.

As you are the Queen of whoopsie shopping could you roughly help me with timings for the reductions for Mr T's and Mr M's. I got the 8pm one right the other night at Mr T's but have no idea about sundays or bank holidays? Can you pleeeeeeeeeeeese help. Thank you :A

    :A Thank you :A

    :o Just a lot of practise covering up with a .... :D:o

:rotfl:I'm not sure if I'm the queen of whoospying but thank you for the title :D

Well my T's on a Sunday is a bit hit and miss and they seem to be changing things around a bit with reductions.

Last week I would have said to get there at 2:15pm on a Sunday and have a mooch around while keeping an eye or an ear ;) (yes I'm tuned in to the whoopsie gun bleep;):rotfl:) out. However last week, I got there at about 2:30 and the cabinet was empty :( The week before I was in the store doing a big shop from 1:30 and when I got there the cabinet was FULL. So I thought fab, wandered around, did my shop, kept coming back but when I came back the final time.....the cabinet was EMPTY! I hung around for a fair while wondering if they'd taken it out the back to reduce but it never reappeared! So goodness only knows what happened to that lot! Today I paid for my big shop at 1:49pm and she'd just started 80% whoopsies as I made my way out of the store. So it's definitely moving earlier in my T's. Veggies were whoopsied to 85% at about 2:20pm and bakery was already done to 75% before 1:15pm!!!

    Sorry, bit of an essay!

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are MANY variables! The department manager on duty, how busy they've been, how much there is to be reduced, how efficient the SA's have been with their other duties! :p etc etc.....

The best thing to do, though it's a little frustrating, is to get to know your store. Though even then they often throw spanners in the works!

As a starting point I would now say to get there at 1:30. As long as you've got a couple of hours to spare, there are always things to look at in T's and keep you occupied while you wait:rotfl:Once you get a better understanding of your store, you'll be able to time it more accurately and be more efficient!

With M's, they're a little bit more reliable but even then they surprise me some weeks! :p:o In my store mega reductions are about 3:15pm on Sundays :) But I've been there at 2:45 and found an empty cabinet and last week I was waiting at 3:45 as they were short staffed. It ended up working in my favour though because he scanned cottage cheese and it went down to 5p and then he stuck those labels on quite a lot of stuff! :T:D

Persistence is key as is politeness :D Don't block the chiller, don't knock or crowd the SA. Make friends with them ;):A

Hope that helps a bit :Axx

ETA: With bank holidays it depends what time your store closes as they're all different. Tomorrow my T's closes at 6, M's at 7 and A's at 8!!! I may give them a miss tomorrow unless I tie it in with the meal deal IF it compares. And if I do I probably won't go to T's til 5. If I was really keen and determined to fill the fridge or freezer, I'd start at 4:30 ;)

It was my shop that you quoted, the till recognises that the birds eye stuff came to £5.23 before discounts. ;)

Thanks for clarifying, got my list ready to go tomorrow :D

Does anyone else find it suprising that Tesco's £2 off £20 spend (sent in post) starts from 11th June (second voucher) whilst price flop ends 10th June? I wanted to be able to use two as I don't really do a big shop in Tesco but I can't now. When will the next price flop come out after that?

Also does anyone know if they are still giving the cooler box free on a £10 spend? What are the terms and condition if so and when does it expire?
