My chest freezer has packed up! Its brimming with food what do I do?!?!
Think I'm going to lose it all aren;t I
Hugs to fudge cake LTF and everyone else who needs or wants one x x
Exactly the same, don't open it:eek::eek::eek::eek:but if you have to and it's joints, cook the meat, slice it and then refreeze when you get a freezer or batch cook up as much as you can. I left the door on one of mine slightly open for 24 hours and it started to defrost(I shut it before DH realised;)) and the food was fine;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

If you've got things in it like mince or chicken, you can cook them into curry's, spag bol, chilli etc and then re-freeze it. Look on freecycle for a new freezer, and ask friends for any spare space in their freezer. Dont open the freezer until you have to and claim on your insurance. The food should be fine for a couple of days.0 -
Oh brilliant! didnt know about not opening, will make sure no one does! I am bit worried with it being the bank holiday weekend, as I cant get a quick delivery of one.
Nothing on freegle but have posted a wanted ad.
The trouble im having is its a lot of food as I have one of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Glass-Top-Commercial-Display-Chest-Freezer-Novum-611-/221038705673?pt=UK_BOI_Restaurant_RL&hash=item3376eefc09
on ebay they are all from commercial places and not open till wed now. Have emailed some of them to see if they will open tomorrow for pick up,
I may end up getting a few smaller ones or something.0 -

Anyone remember me saying about taking Mum to Burger King just after New Year and spending the afternoon in A&E after she coughed up a mouthful of blood? Well since then it's happened twice more for no apparent reasonand a couple of nights ago she did it again so decided it's time to get it investigated further. GP said no swelling so it's unlikely to be cancer :eek::(:(:(:(:(:( But has referred her for an urgent endoscopy
:( (which I can imagine will be horrendous but am trying not to express any fear) on 13th June
And then a phonecall from my Grandfather's doc this morning to say he's bleeding from his back passageSo he's been taken off warfarin. He originally got diagnosed with prostate cancer bout 5 years ago and was given chemo tablets and it's just been monitored since, no further treatment administered. Doc will see how he is Tuesday.
This might sound horrible but I don't have much of a relationship with my Grandfather if at all because of the 'family' situation. But since his alzheimers really ramped up I've wrestled continuously with my conscienceWhich is carp in itself because he totally gave up on me and was very nasty and abusive, then you see an old frail man and YOU feel like the selfish, nasty one for not just forgetting about it. And no matter what I do I always end up feeling rubbish about myself.
Arghhh :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: I just want to walk out of this life and into a new one
Wish we could wave a magic wand and make it happen for you F_Cbut you are going to have to do it yourself ........ and one day, you will ............ we all know that :A You are stronger than you think hun .... and deserve much better than you have now

Sorry I'm sentimental with lovely messages so I want to keep them for as long as possible!
Do you know that you can save pm's? When my box is full, I delete any 'run of the mill ones' and then click all the rest and go to the bottom of the list, click drop-down to show 'save as text' or something very similar, then 'go' or submit or whatever it says. It will ask you what name to save them as, I save them as 'received pm's ... date..' or 'sent ........'. I then change the drop down menu to delete and click go/submit and they will all disappear. I then do the same with sent pm's. Voila - empty pm box but you have all your precious messages saved as txt docs on your computer to read at you leisure :j :jMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Ouch, bit expensive!
That's exactly why she's lazy, she's up at the crack, sorry, before dawn when she has no reason to be. Then she wonders why she is tired half way through the day and can't do anything.:rotfl:0 -
