Has anyone bought the Finest meal deal since the 20% off Finest food started?
Just wondering if it'll take 20% off the total, or each individual item... Tried it online but it doesn't seem to be showing any discount for Finest items

Haven't had time to read through properly so this may have already been answered but I've just bought the meal deal for £7.69 :j:j

On the receipt it said £10 meal deal discount -£7.99 & 20% off finest food -£2.31.

I imagine the discount will vary depending on what you buy so I would go for the dearest items.

    O'h and it doesn't come off the wine - I asked :(

    HTH :)

Found them finally in two stores this morning. Not in the usual stands on the way out near the front of the store. One had them on top of it's instore trolley park, near the cafe, the other had them at the end of each till for a change. :T

Searched high and low, even asked a supervisor and she said she hadn't seen any in store

My 2.5yr old DS is normally ok in the trolley. But i was overcharged on my chicken today and when i told him we were going to CS as i had to "talk to the lady" he threw THE biggest tantrum of his life!! The queue was huge, people were staring (either thinking "poor woman" or "control your child") and all i could do was ignore him until the tantrum stopped. He just kept shoutng that he wanted to go back to the car, laid on the floor and kicked/pulled the trolley/snot everywhere etc :eek: Talk about embarrassed. However, CS didnt argue with me re: DTD, think she saw i was on the knife edge and ready to ball her out!! :rotfl::rotfl: Now thats the way to be dealt with as quick as poss.:o

Sounds like my worst nightmare although I guess it worked in your favour in the end! I have to admit that before DS was quite so against Tesco he was quite a good distraction at the checkouts. If I picked the right checkout lady then I could almost guarantee that they'd be so busy chatting to him that they'd be oblivious to the 1p items going through ;)

    :(

The store that had a few on the trolley bays also had them in a cardboard stand not the upright ones but ones a bit like Argos use for their catalogues and it was situated in the farthest corner of the store other side of the tills. Somewhere where unless you went to the last checkout you would not pass by.

Got a couple of good deals in Mr S the other day actually. Not sure if they've been mentioned already so sorry if it's a repeat.
Simple products on 2 for £4. Picked up a vitamin day and night cream (should have been £5.70 each) so thought that was a pretty good saving
Also, they had Pampers New Baby Size 1 at £2.49 instead of £3.75. I bought 1 pack and then got a till spit for £2 off when you buy 2 packs of Pampers New Baby nappies. I didn't have time to go back and get any more then but that'll mean that I can get 2 more packs for £3.98. It'll be interesting to see if you get a till spit every time you buy some. Could be a good way to stock up if it does. Will report back once i've tested it out
