    Hi all, hope you are all well.

    In my local express to tonight family size Uncle bens express rice on reduced shelf £2.71 to £1.36. Scanned at full price! Didn't notice at the time as had other shopping but after emptying the shopping took a look at receipt. Popped back down and was told "sorry about that, will refund you the overcharge" are you sure I said? My aunt works in t*sco and your policy is DTD on overcharges!
    SA smiled and happily gave DTD.
    Reduced rices were white long grain, basmati, and egg fried. All family size.
    First time I've dared to ask for my money back! Feeling quite proud!

    My thoughts go out to young boy in accident today, made me tearful, should never happen to someone so young xx

    Goodnight all x

    Useless shop at T's for me tonight. No price flop (only had one out of the last 3 I think), no magazine, and no free cooler bag or whatever with frozen food and they had never heard of the offer - did I get the store wrong? Got all the way home, before realizing I had forgotten some Moshi Monsters for #5 (child #5 that is) - I had promised him a pack for losing his tooth. So had to go back and of course they didnt have any of the small packs *sigh*

    Nikilala - well done on taking the plunge and applying for the marathon! I am hoping to do a 5k next year, Im easing myself in gently lol!! I really am trying to lose weight but 1) Im a sugar addict and 2) have very little motivation. Am losing it slowly though, so I should find it easier to run eventually!!

    Im off to bed (((Hugs))) all! Goodnight! xxx

    Hi Kymie, was it our local you tried? they have had at least the last 3 price flops, but they do run out and then replenish and they had the coolbags yesterday in a box in the second chiller aisle at the back by the end of aisle displays.

    I've done a 5k a few times and it damn near killed me, lol and I'm far more unfit than I was then. Good luck with it, you'll do just fine :)

    Thank you :beer: I really enjoyed it and it was nice to go shopping in an evening without my DD in the trolley getting bored.

    I've just read the small print on the voucher though :o:o:o

    There were so many pizzas being reduced. Someone could have built a nice big tower out of them if they had grabbed them all, but like i said it was very civilised so everyone just had a few each.
    I might even go again tomorrow now i've got the bug :eek: we have an oven as part of our brick built bbq so its always handy to have pizzas in the freezer for impromptu bbqs.

    And the SA stocking the fridges told me about the extra 20% off the finest meal deal so it would have been rude not to have one of those too :p

    Evening all :D

    Sorry I haven't posted in ages, busy times at the moment!

    Well done fuzzydo - I got some of these as well earlier though mine were £1.50 each but I can't complain for free! SA was very impressed and asked if they had any more there. I put three through together too - the coupons do say 1 per transactions but I've not encountered any SAs who have refused multiples. (And if they did I'd just ask them to cancel and put them through individually ;))

    Just been checking out the offers for the biscuits voucher and came up with these:

    2x Go Ahead Bars £2.29 BOGOF and
    2x McVities Milk/Dark Chocolate Digestives 400g £1.75 BOGOF (different offers!)
    Use 2 x £1 vouchers for £1 off £4 spend on biscuits (totals £8.08 before multisaves ;))
    Total = £2.04 :D

    And one for a Price Check shop:

    2x Oat So Simple Morning Bars £2.19 (2 for £3.50)
    Use £1 voucher for £1 off £4 spend biscuits
    Total = £2.50
    Price Check £1.50
    Cost = 50p per box :D

    PS Can anyone confirm if they pricecheck?!!!

    Had a weird experience today in T's this woman kept staring at me, then she seemed to be following me, after a while she stops in front of me and says, "Excuse me where did you get that dress from you look fantastic" I was so taken aback I forgot where I'd got it from :D

    :rotfl::rotfl:

    Gotta laugh as it reminded me of what happened to me a couple of weeks back. It was the day of 1p Easter choc hunting and I was in an Express hunting in the choc aisle, when I felt eyes on me :eek::o Look up and see a very 'assertive' ;) (polite :p) looking SA staring me down! I gave her a quizzical look and she said 'how old are you?' No superfluous laguage or attempt to cover up her brash question. I wasn't buying alcohol for goodness sake and I didn't even have anything in my hands! So I said 'Why? How old do you think I am?' so she shrugged her shoulders and thought :rotfl:this'll be fun ;) '24' I said....Well her face :eek::rotfl::rotfl:

    But even then she didn't back down and soften her response. She said 'Noooo you look like a child!! Seriously?! :p:p So I said 'Yes, actually I'm nearly 25, I'll take it as a compliment' :p

    Yours was obviously a lot more complimentary Miss Laid. It's just funny how some people assert themselves!

    The vast majority of people on this thread share every and any finds. But this thread is far more than just sharing bargains.
    It's so supportive. Look at how everyone has been so touched by 3Dogs posts. You only have to read Fudge Cakes posts to see what a little community we are. The Free HC campaign....I can't see that happening on any other thread!
    Miss Laids socks find has helped nearly everyone here. The people who sit and work out the best way to bring the total of a shop down using coupons. Karly's famous online shop....the list is endless.
    It's also lovely to read and take part in the banter and joking, which is also a big part of this thread.
    I don't think that makes us at all secretive.....and the Elite bit is all very tongue in cheek....I know I'm not Elite :rotfl:

    Far from it love ;);):p:p:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Jeepers, I pop out for 'some milk' and i'm suddenly 11 pages behind!

    I know the feeling!! Hope you've had a good evening FK :A

    Sorry guys I'm falling asleep tonight. Another post with today's goings on tomorrow :)

    Final word of the night has to be a humongous THANK YOU to everyone for such kind support and hugs :A

    Off up the wooden hill :D Sleep tight xxx

    So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.
