I thought the issue was that t's were happy to sell german veal steaks that had been reared in worse conditions than the british veal they were trying to make into meat balls (eg in this country they cannot keep the animals in the dark, but in germany it is legal to do that)? Then they tried to cover up saying veal doesn't sell bcos of public perception of how the animals are treated, yet they are happy to sell worse treated german veal? Makes no sense! Unless I am have totally missed the point! x
Yep, you got it (and put it quite succinctly may I add :D). That's the crux of T's flawed argument. They can't quite come out and say "cos it's cheaper and we make more money by selling German veal" as they will look even worse than they already do.

Thanks, was worried I had got it totally wrong!
Would have had more respect for them had they said that they simply couldn't afford the british meat, rather than make themselves look stupid by saying they wouldnt be able to sell the veal bcos of public perception despite being able to sell the cheaper german veal.. again, as Jimmy said, if veal didn't sell, they wouldnt stock it. The fact they stock it, means there is a market, albeit a small one?
Pretty poor and embarassing the woman didn't even know simple animal welfare laws too - you would of thought they'd want to do a bit of research before going on to a programme focusing on producing good quality cheap meat? Of course not, its tescos afterall!
The suppliers basically implied tescos $hat on them too...
Which is why everyone here needs to try their best to screw tescos over as much as possible :D

Just a quick reminder for everyone (and those that don't know) - please don't post any codes on here as they aren't allowed on the Grabbit board. Thanks :)

I've had to remove a couple of posts that had the Tesco leaflet codes in.

The Th0rnt0ns melts were yellow stickered in local express to £1.50 so perhaps they are eventually on the way down
