No, just took some planning and lots of patience :D

Well spotted! I did it that way because his name starts with 'M', and no, he didn't even notice. Gotta admit, I did feel a bit OCD sorting the sweets by colour into little bowls before I started decorating! :rotfl:

Thanks for everyone's kind compliments on the cake - I'm in no way an accomplished cook/baker, but taking tips from here and there (quite a bit from here, actually ;)), and following recipes has improved my skills to no end and now I can actually experiment and improvise a bit. My biggest dilemma with the cake was how to slice it without ruining it- in the end I just went along the lines of colour.

I like the way you sorted the colours according to the rainbow :)

Dreamerbea - thank you for your kind words

Bensonsmum - it does make a difference, so thank you for thinking of me!

Thank you Ruxpin! Sadly I've only ever baked one cake, a Herman cake - it was blooming yummy though!

FudgeCake - as always, thank you!

MMW thank you too, glad it went well at the Dr's and that you can now drive!

And Freddiesmum - thank you for the fourth time! :rotfl:

Thank you all for your support, it is much appreciated and really does help.

I was so nervous yesterday, as soon as I had to go through the security at the courts my heart started pounding!
However everything seemed to go ok yesterday, we are positive about how things went. I don’t want to say too much but at the moment it’s adjourned so we are awaiting a new date.

Call of trouty, I'm sorry but I had to laugh at you calling them pistachios! I do hope you are ok
though and you appointment comes through quickly.

Frequent {{{hugs}}} to you  to absent friends

Well done LTF, great that it went well for you!

SpiralingDown, hope you get things sorted with the house soon and good luck with the course.

Leenie - the hall looks absolutely stunning!! You did a fantastic job!!

QPR10 - good luck at the hospital, hope everything is ok fingerscrossed.gif

thanks for letting us know how it went
Just a wee picture of the results of Saturday morning's labours

I was quite pleased with my effort, although am ashamed to say I paid full price for the M&M's (got an APG though).

Shall I put the kettle on - could just eat a slice of this - looks fab

Thank you to MMW for the whiskey comp, me and OH both got a £3 off coupon. It's on offer in T's until 19/06 so I might pop along to use the vouchers early doors on the 20th:rotfl:

I got the Sacla bread topping the other day and it was RTC 49p, do you think we could use it against this?

Alas no just checked I should have said it is Sacla stir in sauce - sorry

for you techie peeps. when i go onto other sites i am asked if i want "cookies" i say no, but should i be saying yes? basically are cookies good or bad?

Cookies are good, especially double choc chip ones.

New legislation has been passed which requires web sites to tell you that they are using cookies to store information. Before the legislation was passed, the majority of web sites used cookies anyway but were not required to inform you. If you "just say no to cookies" (Grange Hill!) then every time you use a web site such as this one, you will have to log in to it as it won't remember you.
