i have 3 petrol vouchers that expire on sunday and still 1/2 a tank of petrol-why is the date so short on them?:mad::mad:mine runs out 24/5 and a wombled one from today that runs out 1/6.lookinforabargain wrote: »Jeez you gave me a fright there!
Had to dash off to check when mine expires :rotfl::rotfl:
It's good until 17/06 *phew* :T
Nice to have but to be fair unless your spending £50 they prob aint worth the paper there written on...I put £40 worth in last night (29 litres) £1.45 off , if T's were giving £1.45 off £40 conditional spend would you bother? it's not even 4%!!
Now if they offered £10 off an £80 petrol spend it might be worth it!!;)"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Took longer to get home than I thought so I'm just having a coffee and a catch up.
Didn't go back to Ts this evening, I'll pop up in the morning.
3dogs I hope you and Alan have a good time visiting the family back home, just take things easy Alan.
I've got to wait until July before I go home, it seems like ages away
Planted my bedding plants before tea today, they look ok, a little watering in provided by the heavens above and they'll be fine. There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Just watched 'The Hoarder Next Door' from last night :eek::eek:
They were using a RAKE to clear up the rubbish on the carpets & also the lad just rolled up the rug with all the rubbish on it & threw it out :T
At the start I thought lazy folk. As there was no 'hoard' just rubbish.
But when it was explained about his Dad & then finding the Diary - I then felt sympathy for them - hopefully it is now a new start & a connection between them.:)
I have got a confession to make - i used to be one of the worst/best hoarder before marrying DH. At one point, it got so bad that the cleaner in my uni hall told the management that she cannot clean my room because of the amount of stuff I've got:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
basically, at one point, i have about 40 odd bottles of mouthwash, a lifetime's supply of toni&guy hair products, hundreds of post-its and tape dispensers, 4 big boxful of miscellaneous toiletries (mostly Soap & Glory stuff), one boxful of cosmetic stuff, one boxful of boots no7 stuff. on top of that, i have loads of choccies, boxes of cereals,. add about 30 odd pairs of shoes to the equation and you can just about see why the cleaner refused to come into my humble abode.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
DH made me promise that i will not hoard anything after our marriage, with some leeway for exceptional circumstances.:o

It worries me that I may be a hoarder in the making. I have boxes and boxes piled up full of stuff.
I hate throwing thungs away if they maybe of use at some point in time.
DH gets mad about it but all my hoarded stash is in the spare bedroom.

Wow did I just enjoy tonights dinner. Fillet steak (rarer than I usually have it), mushrooms drenched in olive oil (light so need to investigate how good it is) and baked in the oven and some tesco chunky home fries baked in the oven together with the obligatory rabbit food.
Bloated now but will help it down with a nice pinot noir!0 -
Evening to the Famed Elite   Thanks for the new thread FK :money: :money:
Just reporting in before going to bed. I got up to date on the old thread but could only manage 40 posts of this one, so will have major catching up to do tomorrow
It was dry all the way up - but it is very cold up here   I think I forgot how much colder it is, but then again I didn't think of that, with it being [STRIKE]November[/STRIKE] May
By the time I packed, and we got the car loaded, then popped to surgery to pick up Alan's tablets they didn't have yesterday, we got away about 12.45pm. Traffic was quite bad for first half of the journey but cleared later and we did the trip in 4 hours, with just one 15 minute stop for toilet, coffee urgh horrible and bacon sarnie cold and tasteless. Alan drove all the way but his arms were aching and he was shattered when we got up here. We had to go to my niece's to pick up the keys and the 2 girls came round with us to allow niece to finish packing. Alan went straight up to bed and I kept the girls occupied till niece came for them about 7.30pm. I sent them home with lots of Tossco goodies :j
Alan came downstairs to have something to eat but had to go straight back up after an hour. I have unpacked now and changed into my pj's and dressing gown. My niece and the girls will pop around in the morning as she is going to hairdressers round the corner. My brother is visiting Mam at lunch time tomorrow and then calling in to see us afterwards, then I will go down to see Mam at tea time :j :j
I am off to bed now. Will have to wake Alan up to have his medsGoodnight guys - sleep well
