Petition for bankruptcy *UPDATE*

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3916767

I posted the above thread regarding Final Demand Ltd, and the issues I was having coming to an arrangement for repayment. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I finally have success!

As per the above post we were "awaiting a court date". They have then sent a letter to say an agent would be calling. I emailed them querying why I had received this letter, as I was under the impression we were waiting on a court date. His response was that I could set up an arrangement plan but they would have to add on £300 fees (£250 fee for cancelling court date, and £50 for paying it in instalments). I told him that I wasn't willing to pay this and I was contacting the OFT regarding these fees before I came back to him with an answer. I then received a further email saying how he was proceeding with legal matters cause he would receive "excellent amounts of commisison".

This morning I thought I would approach the company who the debt is owed to and forwarded Final Demand's email regarding making all the commission.

They have told me they are going to cancel the instruction to Final Demand and I can set up a standing order direct to them, without the £250 fee!

Finally a result and I can stop worrying about them!

make sure you pay it this time, dont let it get as far
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
