not a bad price, ta for the post!
  • Quite poor reviews for use on carpet which is a shame as I'm in the market for a new vacuum cleaner.

Any insider knowledge if this is the original one or the T2? From what I can see the original DC19 was discontinued 3 years ago, but you never know...

Yes, we have this model and would not recommend it if your house is predominantly carpeted. We only have carpet on the stairs/landing but this struggles on it to be honest. Great price though (I'm sure we paid £250 at the time )

Would only lose suction if filter dirty or there is a blockage in machine.

Would really not recommend this machine! Put it this way: used to have to resort to a cloth / hands and knees. Even had the machine serviced, re comments on blockages / dirty filters. This particular model put me Dysons for life. Just brought a Sebo and life is much easier.

If you want a good hoover go for a Henry, did you ever see a professional cleaner with a Dyson?
