Finding a specialist Pensions Actuary

I need help in finding a specialist pensions actuary who may possibly assist me in checking a pensions mis-selling guarantee offer from Pearl Assurance.
The background is that my husband died as a result of a Road Traffic Accident in October 2009. He had been mis-sold a private pension by the Pearl, but I was aware that he had a "guarantee" from the Pearl that his pension would be guaranteed to be equal (or better) than his occupational pension scheme that he would have joined if the Pearl had not mis-sold the private pension.
The service I have had from the Pearl has been awful; and here I am 3 years later and I'm still trying to understand the methods and calculations the Pearl has used to make up the offer(s) I have received.
Every time I query a calculation, the numbers change, and also the guarantee is made up of an annuity then the mis-selling compensation on top. The annuity quote varys due to the economic climate at the time.
I need to find a financial expert who can help me understand the numbers. I have complained to the Financial Ombudsman, who have agreed that the service I have received from the Pearl has been lacking and they have awarded me a nominal compensation amount. However, even they will not commit themselves to confirm if the calculations being made by the Pearl are "correct" or not.
Where can I go to get the expert advice I need? I'm at the end of my tether.
Any guidance appreciated.

May be able to help with your complaint or at least point you in the right direction0 -
A firm like OAC will have the specialists available to help you:

But be aware that that actuaries are highly qualified professionals and their hourly charge out rates will be high. The cost of appointing them to do the numbers on your behalf could be worth more than any revised payout you receive.
(P.S. I don't and never have worked for OAC.)0 -
You can also search the whole of the actuarial profession here
