Trying to find the finance to buy a van for work

I feel like I'm banging my head against the wall, recently my vans gearbox went and I decided it was worth more than the van to get it fixed so I sold it at the auction, I was fairly busy and had to get a van very quickly so hired one from europcar for a month, I now have a period where work has slowed down and need to find a van.
Due to the end of last year and beginning of this year being seriously bad at work i haven't got much spare cash floating about, a few thousand short of what I need to buy a van, I have over the last year really got my financial act together and cleaned up my report so it now reads good, I have also registered on the electoral roll ( I didn't realise but I wasn't registered  !! ) last month, I have a defaulted account that reads satisfied on there though !!
What I was wondering was if anyone had any advice on ways to finance it because I looked at the lower my bills section on experian and then checked on here and realised that was not a good idea, I need a van within the next 4-5 days really, thank you for your time

The default is going to go against you whether it is satisfied or not. I don't really know what you can do because of this, other than buy a cheaper van?0

My suspicions confirmed really, it's no real surprise to me and that's what I'll have to do and hope the van keeps me going whilst I save for a newer one, thank you Gordon0
