Friday 18th May 2012 What small DFW things will you do today????

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :money:

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :T

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending. :j

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Morning everyone. Years and years without ever being the first to start the thread & now it looks like two in two days! :D

Well, I didn't get the job. Thanks to everyone who wished me luck though. It was one of those all day assessment/interview thingummys where you have lots of people going for different roles. The role I went for was as an analyst, but I got scored down for not having a strong enough project plan in place. I was being measured against people going for project manager roles, which didn't really seem fair,as the two skillsets are very different, but hey, ho.

Went out for a curry last night with some geocaching friends 20+ of us in all, so that cheered me up

Right, onto DFW stuff.

DS's come home for the weekend :jso it won't be a very MSE weekend

Today I have/will
Check online banking
Free parking at local station then train in to work
Charge phones on the train
Free tea/coffee/water at work
Sandwiches from home
Read the free papers
Exchange library books
Hopefully pay in cheque if I can get to the bank in time
Dinner from stores

Have a great day everyone
