Look Here for Martin's Budget planner:money:
Do the budget, work out where all your money goes, look at the credit card bills and categorise each transaction, keep spending diaries and account for all the cash you take out of the bank.
You said that you are both bad at money management and if you swap your unsecured debt to secured debt by remortgaging without changing your attitiude to spending you will almost certainly lose your home eventually which would be a disaster. Take control now and you will keep your equity and reduce your debts and you will feel more secure.
Hi,teddy here,
thanks to all of you for your sound and wise advice,we have agreed to do a budget plan as this certainly definetly seems to be the better option for us, this will help us to face the responsibilities of our debts and also help us to learn to take better control of our hard earned monies in future.
cheers Teddy. x
