We excepted an offer on our house at he end of January but are still waiting for the buyers lender (HSBC) to arrange survey's etc.
The buyer has payed for the local searches.
Our solicictor says HSBC are always slow...anybody else had same problem?

Yes we had terrible problems with HSBC, we applied, they agreed in principal we then sent all the documentation to them the same day, rang them nearly every day for progress reports and after 4 weeks of waiting they decided they were not going to lend us the money, they are awful, especially if you apply over the telephone, I think going through the branch is faster.0
