I recieve my state pension from next month. I live in France. What's the best option in this economic environment, do I deposit in my UK bank or a French one where it will be in €'s?
Yes, I usually tell it as I see it and respond where I see the need, but never are my comments ment to be taken personally.

when do you need the money - immediately to live off, or are you saving it and just drawing on it occasionally perhaps for holidays or major purchases?
What links do you still have with England, bank account here? investments? do you visit here often/ever? Family here?
Don't think you've given anywhere near enough info for even an uninformed opinion! The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
I agree.
but in general in these past months/now, the euro seems to be dropping so i'd take it in pounds and transfer what I needed to Euros short term. Having both euro and sterling accts (like i do with HSBC) with faster payments means you can transfer easily.0
