if you clear your cookies in between different people logging on to pigsback it may be ok.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately it's not a cookies problem as my husband uses IE for pigsback whilst I use Firefox to avoid difficulties (or so we thought).

Is it me or are the rewards for pigsback getting less and less?

Almost seems like they're getting progressively less support from commercial companies. Good time to spend all your points before something bad happens?

I was just thinking the same thing. There are les and less freebies and sign ups. Also the people I have encouraged to sign up don't seem to get as many clickthoughs as I did when a young piggy

Ok, contacted Pigsback re not yet getting points for a referral link and got the following response.

PiggyPoints for a successful referral are credited within a day or two of a reward being claimed.
I have checked your Refer a Friend records, and although you have sent 1 referral, I am afraid this has not been taken up.
In order for your referral to be tracked and eligible for PiggyPoint crediting, the person you are referring must register via the referral link that is sent to them in an e-mail, I am afraid your friend did not register via this link, and therefore your referral is not eligible for the PiggyPoint crediting.

Now the referral was for my Husband and I actually watched him click on the link to join Pigsback as I then showed him around the site.

Anyway to prove he used the link?

  • This appears to be occurring too frequent now. I've had 2 referrals that they've refused to credit, even though, like you, I witnessed both my referrals clicking the link! The only way to prove it would be to photograph the person clicking your link. lol.
I think its pretty poor. Why have a referral scheme in place if it's obvious not up to doing the job properly?

strange...I have referred 5 people now and had points for all of them.

they are all on either hotmail accounts or O2 email

is it just one email provider with the problem?

I referred H on our personal email address, i.e. not hotmail etc, so that could have been it. I know he had never clicked on pigsback before so I don't think it was cookies.
