Plymouth Sutton Transport Links To London

Does Plymouth Sutton and Devonport have the train station in its area? Just got back from London and couldn't get any answers on how we were able to go direct into Waterloo last time but not now - and also the condition of the building works on the station foyer - its an eyesore for the much needed first time visitors to the supposedly beautiful West Country. There was no meeting point for our visitors and they couldn't even sit down or go to loo (without buying ticket and going out onto platform!) The hoardings seem to have to been up for 3 months with no progress. Any one know what's happening with it? I would like to use the train more for work to save a few pennies but leaving our station in this state is not on when other areas have decent support services on theirs for rushing working people.

Omg - apparently we're losing Zara! and Bershka in Plymouth Mall.... staff told really suddenly in shock move they were out of a job! (Eurocrash,SpainFail etc - I think they were Spanish)
