EXPIRED Vax pets bagless £39.99

I have just finished spending time putting it together (why does nothing come built these days!)
If I paid £139.99 for it would be disappointed just not got the build quality (or maybe I am just fussy!). I paid £39.99 after arguing the toss and standing my ground, apparently someone failed to put the 1 in front of it, so if you have ordered for home delivery make sure you know how much they charge for it and if picking it up make sure you take a copy of the email. They will honour if you make enough fuss, get them to ring the store line to check as this is what my store had to do before being allowed to change price.
If you are used to a Dyson then this will take some getting used to having to slot things here and slot things there. Once you find the on switch it is in a fairly good place but wonder how long it will last.
It is a short-term replacement for my very old Dyson until I have finished the house renovations and have got my soon to be new wife in the house with me.
I am glad for that, maybe I have been spoiled by Dyson's but then this is less than a new hose assembly on an old dyson!I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
CMN3101E The system is unavailable due to "uk.co.argos.ecommerce.common.databeans.LazyDatabeanActivationException: Error activating lazy databean".
A fun error message from the site....oh those lazy data beans, it's all their fault!"There is no substitute for time."

My mum went to pick one up I ordered for her, they wanted to charge £139.99 even though she had reservation number, I spoke to CS who insisted its not in their system for that price and never has been, while on the phone I pulled up the Argos site again and still showing 39.99, she wouldn't believe me so gave her item number, all went quiet, she run off to find manager even though she was supervisor, still truer her luck but I explained as its in front of her she had to honor it, she did in the end, don't think she liked it though !!! So for anyone who is being asked for £139 tell them item number and it comes up as 39.99 on their screen, they have to honor it then !!
Thanks again op, x0 -
Thanks for posting everyone:)
I find it interesting they are saying it is a mistake especially as it's still showing at that price.
Amazon were £89.99 when I checked last night before I posted it so they have taken their price down to match, though I notice they only have 5 left.0 -
Got one of these today too
happy with it although don't think it's worth £139.99 at all! my mum picked it up for me from Argos and she too had to argue the price as it was showing as the full price. Thankfully she stood her ground and they finally gave in! 0 -
Are Amazon still selling them at £39.99?
I just ordered one but I suppose I'll just have to wait a see.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

Not as cheap as the original one but I bought this one the other day - best vacuum I have owned and well worth the money. Very light and really quite quiet.

Wow that's incredible value. Amazon definately still have it, and free delivery in the UK too.
I don't have the upright, but I do have the Vax Pet bagless cyclinder and its amazing. Keep the filters clean and it never loses suction.
I've posted it on my f/b wall as it is a complete bargain.
