Temp contract - notice period?

The contracts manager at the clients place of work will send a contract to the Brolly and they in turn send it to you.

Most of the ones I have dealt with (not personally but OH was a contractor and I read the contracts) will look over the contract and email the "none standard" terms as an aside in case they are lost. Eg one was a 60 day payment. Work 30 then 30 days invoice to pay. The brolly Comp highlighted this BEFORE he signed.

Any ambiguities in the contract are hightlighted. Never once has he not had a contract with the client. The wording is normally like this

Company/Client name

- and -

UMBRELLA Limited (MY OH Name)

The contract then details everything needed, billing, holidays, notice, (both sides) rates of pay, penalities, laptops absolutely everything really. It has to be signed and returned BEFORE work can begin by both parties (normally scan and return)

Just looking at the last 4 contracts via email, all pretty much a much, apart from notice, dismissal, line management, holidays (how much notice to give), payment for OT, rate of OT, how much travel, expenses policies etc.

all of the above vary contract to contract. Sometimes he got £200 per hour over 8 hour day, others said to take as FLEXI if under 4 horus a week, some want 4 weeks notice for holidays, some said 24 hours. All personal to the client so there must be a contract in place you just need to get a copy.
