I am thinking of having one of these at my local teaching college. does it really make any difference or is it another fad?

I would love to have it done too. My friend has had the treatment once, but she was told you need to have it done a few times for better results. I'm hoping to find Microdermabrasion treatment available soon on groupon for Cambridgeshire....0

Is there not a college near you that offers cheap treatments? The Microdermabrasion is only £20, so might give it a go anyway.0 -
I have been thinking about having one but have not been brave enough to do so. Instead I have been trying a few things at home that seem to be really helping my skin.
I started with the aspirin mask and then progressed on to doing a salicylic acid peel. I am happy with the results so far and even better its really cheap to do0 -
My sister has had microdermabrasion a few times in the past and regrets it. She said it has left her skin overly sensistive. It did make it look nice initially but now a few years later there are whole ranges of skincare she cannot use that she was able to use before because her skin seems to react to everything- its more fickle then mine and mine is bad! I can somehow get away with using more products then she can but a few years ago it used to be the other way around!0

Go for it if you have clear skin, I had it done a few years back when I had mild acne and the dermabrasion made it a million times worse, resulting in having to see my Doctor.0

I've never heard of an Aspirin mask - off to Google it now0 -
Ive had it done a few times over the years.
First time I think I was too young and didnt really notice a difference (in my 20s)
It does make your skin uber sensitive and I have read that if you do it regualry its not good for your skin (imagine peeling an onion, you get down to the fresh skin, but have to use factor 150 for the rest of your life!!!)Sealed Pot Challenge 5 #1440

Bit of a horror story here, though Sophie Anderton still looks fabulous, which is probably partly due to make-up and Photo Shop:

Worth trying, but don't get addicted seems to be the message.0
