Loan Contracts - PPI Claim
I took out a bank loan in 2005, and was sold PPI. i was charged interest on the PPI lent to me. I have refinanced the loan twice since. I remember being told on the phone if i did not opt in to the PPI, i could be refused the loan, and the interest rate could be higher. But i cannot remember if this was when i took out the first loan, or if it was when i refinanced it the 2nd or 3rd time. so i am not sure which loan to complain about. After the 2nd or 3rd refinancing, i cancelled the PPI and went with a different provider. Can i ask the bank to provide copies of all 3 contracts? Also if they fail to provide the contract(s), or do not have them, what do i do next?

You can ask all three to provide copies, if needs be under the Data Protection Act's Subject Access Request process that will cost you £10 per provider.
If they dont comply with the SARs then there isnt the greatest amount you can do but can lodge a complaint with the ICO for their breach of the DPA0
