Sorry I've not tried this but what I do is buy the S/M's budget powder and a bag of soda chrystals and mix the 2 50/50 which works really well and has slashed my washing powder drastically. HTH0

Hi, I`ve been using this one for several months & am very pleased with it. I suppose they both the same.

Also bought the 300 dish washer tablets & used them with good results0 -
Someone in the food section posted a similar link, she was waiting for delivery. I think its worth a try as they both have good feedback and it saves lugging it home.
Here's the post from food, post #5

If you're looking out for REALLY cheap laundry detergent consider making your own, what is known around these parts as "laundry gloop". There's a whole thread about it on this part of the forum. To make it you use a grated bar of F@iry household soap (M0rris0n's have two for about fifty pence, so it's much cheaper than F@iry and smells suspiciously like it), a cup of washing soda and a cup of borax/borax substitute. I made a year's supply in about half an hour.
Also, if you'd like to save money on the detergent you're using now just cut the manufacturer's recommended dosage in half and add a tablespoon of washing soda. For clothes that are not visibly dirty and just need freshening up you could get away with a quarter. I don't think there's any need to use any more soda than a tablespoon: the water is softened to boost the cleaning-power of the detergent and adding more won't make it any softer.0 -
I agree B&T but we have very hard water here, thats why I use more. I should have mentioned that:embarasse0
