Wednesday 16th May 2012 What small DFW things will you do today????

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :money:
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :T
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending. :j
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Morning Folks
Thought I’d start us off today as I’m on my last day of “study leave” so had to get back into the routine of waking up early
A bit of drama last night – a good friend Henry died……he’s was happily working one minute then boom, he was dead, he’d been part of our family for 10+ years !!!! Mum’s gutted, she was mid tidying up ! Will have to get a replacement from Sainsburys….Henry was a good vacuum cleaner !
Exam day today so a bit nervous but will see how I get on – luckily, the exam is online so I should get the result about an hour after I finish the exam
Today I have/will do:
• Breakfast and lunch from stores
• Will walk to and from the college – good for body, mind and bank balance
• Will take a flask of coffee to the college as I plan to have about 2 hours of cramming before the exam
• Supposed to be going to the college restaurant with a couple of people but not too sure of the cost/menu so may cancel
• Keep an eye out for any jobs – went to see an agency yesterday who confirmed the average salaries for hometown and applied for a job a 10 minute walk from me
• Make breakfast, lunch and dinner for work tomorrow
• Work on anniversary bits n bobs
• Move any pennies to change pot
• Pay money into a/c and move to pre-paid card
• Buy travel pass for tomorrow
Umm, think that’s about it.
Take care everyone and have a fab day

Like this idea
1. Check Bank (£11.50 Quidco payment gone in today - free money!!!)
2. Check Snowball Calculator to confirm debt free plan will work - (which it does)
3. Devise plan to build £2500 to clear overdraft - (Spare savings account to squirrel things away into which will do nicely)
4. Work out shopping list for next week including meal plan
Think that is it as far as working towards debt free today - other than working to bring in the pennies to actually pay for thisKey - Balance/Remaining - Total £15073.21/£8283.11
