My Employer hs gone into ADMINISTRATION

I am owed 2 weeks wages, totaling £200. I work 12 hours per week and have been employed for 9 months. I am aso on full time college course. Have I got any chance of getting my money? Am I entitelsd to any benefits or compensation ?

    To get jsa you have to have paid enough contributions to count in the last 2 tax years.
    Also you would not be available for work if you are doing a full time course,
    can you not get another part time job.
    You haven't worked for your employer long enough to get redundancy.

    Hi omg

    OK - first of all, administration is not necessarily liquidation - so there remains a chance that your employer will emerge from administration, together with your employment.

    The next thing is that the employees are number 1 creditor. They will get their money before anyone else, including the administrator. Only after they have been paid will there be any distribution to other creditors. On that basis, you should get your wages owed.

    I know someone who is on a full time college course and also gets income support as her course is below a certain number of hours, i think it's 16 hours but not too sure. She also qualifies for council tax and housing benefit. Check with CAB they will be able to give you the correct info which you need and good luck in your search for another job.
