Hi all-
As the title says really.
I have read quite a lot about them and would like to lose quite a lot of weight. I have been hitting the gym hard recently but find it hard to not eat crisps/sweets etc. So my plan is to use these meal replacements for a few weeks until I am a bridesmaid in June and then work my way in to a routine so I can start to eat healthily!
Does anyone have any advice??

Yes I have used them. If you're not used to this type of diet I would imagine you'd find it very difficult without support. Also the flavours aren't as nice as Cambridge diet or Exante. Personally I would recommend Cambridge diet-the flavours are the nicest and you get real life support of a counsellor as well
It is very effective-as long as you stick to it of course

Also consider Ephedrine Caffeine Aspirin (ECA) thermogenic stack pills, which are perfectly safe if used sensibly (eg not for long term). Basically they reduce hunger pangs signficantly whilst at the same time giving you loads of energy for gym workouts. I use these now and again and can easily lose 3-5 kgs in a week when taking them along with cardio excercise. I take 2 tablets in the morning 1 hr before doing 10km on the rowing machine, then a bowl of weetabix for breakfast keeps me going until dinner (ie no lunch as i don't feel hungry at all) and even dinner is very light. I use these and don't get any jitters as has been reported with many ECA stacks. Have a look at th reviews! (and no i don't work for the company)

PS Missus took a ECA pill once and she wouldn't stop ironing all day:rotfl:0 -
You could maybe try maxi muscle protein & diet shake - a big 1.2kg carton is just under £30 on Amazon and may work out cheaper than Slimfast/Cambridge etc. Comes in different flavours but the banana is quite nice and other people say the chocolate is good too.0

I'm currently using PHD diet whey and it's working pretty well for me, have lost 9lbs so far! I just have it for breakfast and lunch on weekdays and have 'normal' dinners. It's got better nutrients than Slim Fast etc and actually does fill me up.
I recommend giving up sugary stuff too, a few weeks off the booze defo helps.7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Thanks for this- I will have a look at everything you have suggested. I have ordered some of the slimmm shakes and soups but I'm definitely going to look at the things you have all suggested!
Thanks again!0 -
I got loads of these when they were cheap from Approved foods, i lost just under 1 1/2 stone in 5 weeks - i found it suited me quite well when i was in the mindset to diet. I wasnt hungry with them, although i was tired and found myself drinking alot of sugar free pop to "perk" me up.....
I found most of the flavours lovely, although i have never tried meal replacement before so have no comparision BUT the soups were HORRID, i'm glad they were a freebie!
I have though put back on 9 lbs since stopping them, and "eating properly" but I suppose if id tried harder, and went through the maintenance phase of one shake a day i may have kept the weight off
I may start them again, as i still have about 10 weeks worth in the cupboard (well they were a bargain price....)0
