Help Regarding Experian

Good Afternoon
I have accounts with both Experian and Equifax. Ive made mistakes in the past and have spent the last few years working my way back up.
I have one issue though at the moment and im not sure how to go about it. i had a default notice placed against me by CIT group who look after finance for Dell.
I was not happy with it, I had paid them all the money due and have the paper to prove it. I went through Equifax's help service with my documents, and after around 30 days, i was sent an alert to inform me that the default had been removed form my account, which it had.
However when I joined Experian the default is still on that account, and I can't see where to go to have it removed from there.
Any ideas, or ways to go about it.
Thanks in advance
Sam

You will need to contact CIT, ideally in writing and state that you require them to remove the default as you made all payments on time (thats assuming all payments were made on time).
Experian won't remove it without CIT's say so.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks for the response.
Is there any particular format the letter should be in? Or any form of template. As I said I have the paperwork to prove it so I see no issue as to why it should be there.
Thanks

No just a letter to them - quote the account number, state that you notice they have incorrectly entered a default status on your credit file with experian and that you require them to remove it with immediate effect.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
