Visiblity of colleague feedback?

It's appraisal time where I work and there were a lot of nice things said about me, much of which would be nicely framed in my CV.

Is it a reasonable request to ask my manager to send me the feedback (preferably only the positive stuff :D), either verbatim or paraphrased and with the names disassociated?

Are you not given a written copy of your appraisal after the meeting? We are.

I have had to go through a lot of CVs in my time and I have to say I've never seen that sort of thing included. Mind you, it's been a while and I suppose the market is a lot more competitive these days so anything that gives you an edge is probably a good thing. The only downsides I can think of are (a) how does a prospective employer know you haven't just made up the comments yourself and (b) it's a little bit cringe-making to read :o

    Plus three.

I undertake a lot of assessments of management professionals and it's absolutely cringeworthy to see CVs with quotes about themselves from other people. You need to be able to sell yourself without it.

Or CVs written in the third person; that's just bizarre.

It's not an unreasonable request though - but you may find it was confidential and the answer's no.

I agree, although the "management speak" wording of the title of this thread suggests that the OP would possibly be oblivious to the fact :o

    Plus 5.

What I want in a CV is verifiable facts, not compliments that you could have totally made up and I have no way of checking.

Also cringe-making. I hate it when I see CVs that say 'My colleagues would describe me as a person who....' and they aren't even direct quotes. Don't see it often and it's usually someone foreign so I suspect there's may be a country or two out there where this is a normal way to format your personal statement, but it sounds weird in the UK.

I recently had three CVs through for for a pre-assessment check which had headings made from Word Art. No joke. Senior professionals.

Another put five pictures of him and his family (posed professional family photos) along the top, including a scan of his unborn baby. It's just weird. I don't care that you're a nice family man - doesn't make you more competent at your job.

I imagine if you DO ask, there might be less nice things said about you in the meantime...it does indeed sound weird and more than a little desperate...'but but, Sue says I'm really good at filing, it says so on my CV, look...' *bottom lip quivers...
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
