Hiya,
Im in a position with a new boss who seems to have it in for me from day 1, i only work 16 hours a week due to kid commitments and bring home roughly £300-£500 depending if the mean witch lets me do overtime :-)
Is Avon Worth it, are there any set up costs, could i do it full time or is it not worth the time? Honest views would be great!!
Any other jobs you would recomend doing from home, ill consider anything just get me out that office
Thank you MSEr's
xoxo

Hello!
There are lots of work from home opportunities out there. Some have a set up cost, and others don't (although there may be hidden costs that you would need to investigate).
I personally don't have any experience of selling Avon products, so can't help you there. But I'm sure someone will be along soon to give you some advice.
I work as a Team Leader for Usborne Books, which I really enjoy and it pays the bills!
Check out the DSA website for ideas of different opportunities https://www.dsa.org.uk.
Good luck in finding something for you and getting you out of that office!0 -
I think with Avon you have to sell a certain amount before you earn commission but I'm not 100% as I haven't tried it. I know that our Avon ladies around here don't seem to last for long though.
I've just signed up with Scentsy and really enjoying it so far

Hi, if you read the first post of the Avon thread we have a lot of useful info there.
There is no up front fee, which means you can give it a go and if you don't put an order in you wont owe anything. There is an admin fee of £15, split into two lots of £7.50, each added to your first 2 orders. You get provided with at least 20 brochures for your first 2 campaigns (each brochure is referred to as a campaign).
Earnings - £78 of orders gets you 20%, orders of £148 is 25%. We get free delivery providing that our orders are at least £10. Order forms are free, as are things like the note books for keeping track of your brochures, and ring sizers. Paper bags for your orders aren't much, I can't remember how much of the top of my head, I want to say about 60p for 50, but not positive on that (I'm at work so can't check). You'll probably need some resealable bags for your brochures but again these aren't much
As with anything, some companies will suit one person but not another, have a look into a few and see what appeals.
I've been with Avon for over 3 years, both me and my husband are reps and we fit it around our shifts quite easily. Now we've been doing it a while it's pretty easy money as we have an established customer base and know how to get everything done as efficiently as possible. With any company, Initially it will be a bit of work getting customers/party bookings, it's just a case of finding one that suits you.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
I tried Avon but it didnt work out for me, im now working for FM and its a much better comission system, easier products to sell and much better benefits0
