First person to complain to is the practice manager.I would suggest giving them a ring and asking if they have any provision for more urgent appointments.

Totally agree Coin. Wonder if its possible to keep your medical notes at home and just use walk in centres? My GP surgery is busting at the seams, at least 1000 new builds just gone up in the area but no extra resources, no extra hours for those of us who work, no extra GP's/Nurses. Its only going to get worse.

It is my belief that GP's are partly funded by number of patients, so if your practice is getting more patients and not recruiting then IMO they are being money grabbing.

Oh god, try getting an appointment around a normal 9 to 5 job and it's as if you have personally told them there children are ugly. I just don't get it.

Once again, it would seem, if I have 3 children and go on the dole I will get first priority! :D

If you can't get an appointment on the day and you really need to be seen by a doctor then tell the receptionist you will go to A&E and tell the staff there that your GPs receptionist has refused you an appointment. This apparently wakes up the receptionist to how urgent the problem is and also the practice will be charged by the hospital for seeing you. (This info was given to me by a very nice lady who works for the NHS) :)

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.
