been contacted by these people via telephone asked to provide all pension details and sign a form of authority for them to look at all pensions providers i have i wondered if i should just check out things myself as i dont like dealing with a third party.
has anyone else used them ?

Professional, ethical and decent regulated investment companies do not cold call. Most scams come from cold calling. General rule of thumb is to never employ a cold calling company as you will avoid being scammed that way. This doesnt mean it is a scam. it just means you avoid a common method that scams use.
