Credit File: Settled Accounts

Hi all, wondering if you can advise me ?

I have 1 missed and 1 late payment showing on my credit file for the same lending account for payments that came to a total of £38 (£16 each).

There's no excuse, I missed these payments because I was careless. It's obviously having a very negative impact on my credit rating.

If I settle the outstanding account in full (£120-ish), I know it will show the account as settled, but will the missed payments still affect my credit score badly?

Any advice would be greatly received. I'd like to improve my credit score and it's pretty much fine apart from this.
