Grand Central Hotel at Central station. Great place for a special occasion, and they do plenty special offers too.

Depending on your taste, I would highly recommend CitizenM.

Very central, very modern, very good price.

Have a look at the website, rooms are small & compact, but they all have moodpads to change the lighting, waterfall showers, etc.

As above, CitizenM can be good. It seems to depend on which room you get though, because I've heard mixed reviews. The higher up you go the quieter it is and the nicer the views.

If you can afford it, Abode is a really nice hotel.

Otherwise, I'd actually recommend the Holiday Inn. Yes, it is a chain hotel, but it is quite nice. Right in the centre, so if you can, ask for a room near the back.

We always stay in the Marriott when we go to Glasgow, not cheap but always spotless and the service is always great too.
