I am kind of concerned that there may be repercussions for her, though I believe she is a pretty strong character, so not sure whether it's worth her being there and facing the potential wrath that will follow?
I am not sure what you mean? - repercussions for who?
What you describe is a weird set up - I once shared an office with my boss who would e-mail me stuff rather than asking and this just puts you on the back foot.
Like I say, he needs to see what they say first before doing anything - do not get involved in arguing, blame etc. as it is just not productive.
As he has been given an indication of his "shortfalls" he needs to be prepared to answer their questions.0 -

You are right and he is not argumentative anyway, so he will continue to put his head down until he finds out what the issues are tomorrow0 -
Generally someone accompanying in a disciplinary is not there to advocate. They are there to ensure the proper process is followed and aren't allowed to speak otherwise. Any concerns she has should surely have been raised before now?
