You wouldn't get a job reporting for the Daily Mail but your post is most certainly excellent. A very informed, impartial and rational view. What a refreshing change.
Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc
How anyone can even try to rationalise socialists making good Chancellors beats me!
And if you want to use public sector spend to GDP as a yardstick, use the actual numbers!
1970s socialist government got spend up to 45%. Thatcher/Major (even Blair) then got it down to 37%. What did Brown do? Back up to 45% in three years! What a man!
And, as for Cable being 'the man'..............well...........what has he done for business these past couple of years? And his so-called 'prediction' of the crash was the usual post-event fortune-teller's expose of one particular speech he made.
