    How anyone can even try to rationalise socialists making good Chancellors beats me!

    And if you want to use public sector spend to GDP as a yardstick, use the actual numbers!

    1970s socialist government got spend up to 45%. Thatcher/Major (even Blair) then got it down to 37%. What did Brown do? Back up to 45% in three years! What a man!

    And, as for Cable being 'the man'..............well...........what has he done for business these past couple of years? And his so-called 'prediction' of the crash was the usual post-event fortune-teller's expose of one particular speech he made.
