Loans & PPI

We would have finished our loan with MBNA on Friday if it hadn't been Good Friday but it appears that the DD (now due to go out on Tuesday) is for at least 10 times it should have been.

Thanks to advice given on the bank account forum I've asked the bank to recall the DD and have also asked MBNA to look urgently into what has happened (quite politely I think since it has taken us £1000 overdrawn!!!)

When talking to MBNA it appears that we had PPI for the first 10 months of the 60 month loan and then cancelled it and I was wondering if there was anyone in the know who may be able to tell me whether the MBNA computer (bless it's cotton micro chips!) has taken this amount becasue it is expecting to have received an amount paid back equivalent to the loan + interest + PPI premium?

It's a long shot I know but I can 't think of any other reason as to why the computer would have called the amount it did.
