Selling Whisky?

Hi all,
Long time member/viewer, rare poster (I seem to have more questions than answers!).
I'm switching jobs soon, and in the interim have chosen to take 2 weeks between the two jobs in order to spend some family time (I have a foreign relative coming to stay) so it would be nice to have a few extra pennies to spend whilst they're here.
My father passed away a few years ago, and bequeathed to me a collection of Whisky Bottles. Some I know have high value (valued at £1.25k in 2007!) whilst others less so (bought for £50 in 2007 also). The collection is around 15 bottles strong.
Is there are any known/lesser known to anyone outside of you geniuses way to sell one or two of these? I'm slightly hesitant about ebay with something specialist just in case the right people aren't looking at the right time, but is that a good option? I've also seen a few sites thanks to Google that seem to make offers, but thought I'd ask if anyone was aware of other alternatives?
Thanks. As always any help is appreciated.

If it were me I'd speak to the Scotch Whiskey Society in Edinburgh. I'm sure they'd know of the best options.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

You might want to talk to these people http://www.milroys.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/catalog_10001_10001_-1 and there are various whisky societies around who may be interested. If you have any paperwork showing provenance or previous valuations it may be helpful, obviously any buyer would be concerned that tey arent buying cold tea or worse.
I dont think you can sell alcohol on ebay, officially...0 -
I was at Whisky Live a couple of years ago (an excellent event for all whisky lovers!) and they had a valuation team there.
It was done by some people from the straightforwardly named Whisky Magazine. So I think that would be a good place to start for some of the higher valued bottles. Sounds like they'd be of interest to a specialist so that would be one way to contact some.Aug 2009 - £50 McVities Comp
Aug 2010 - iPod Shuffle (Scotch tape comp) + Bangzo.com book (Carol Vorderman's detox)
April 2011 - Watford FC tickets
