Nothing done today for me. Been in labour and delivery all morning. Had tummy upset for hours through the night with cramps and they weren't sure if early labour so sent in.
Not in labour though so no baby today![STRIKE]Debt 2010 £74,000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Debt 2012 £42,000[/STRIKE] Debt Jan 2013 £38558 Baby boy born 19/05/20120 -
Aww Thrifty-Gal. Your baby must be happy where he/she is. I had Braxton Hicks contractions with several of my pregnancies and they were darned painful.
Actually, i had them all through my one pregnancy and when i went for my anti natal for that pregnancy they gave me the news i was in labour! Shock horror, it felt no different to the painful contractions i had all throughout my pregnancy. However, they kept me in and i did give birth 3 hours later naturally.
Had a productive day today. Spent 2 hours waiting to see a consultant at the hospital today. I kid you not, only 4 people went in before me. I'd like to know what the consultant was doing for all that time! However, all is well i am glad to say.
Done 3 loads of washing/drying and we are having steak for tea. I sort of knocked it together in between coming home, washing, cleaning and the usual.
Roll on tomorrow.:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
thrifty-gal, hope everything goes well and its not too tiring for you with this false start. how far along are you.
SandBsmum welcome to our little cleaning gang,
right as i always find someone elses cleaning and sorting easier than my own im just back in again from Mils. i went back after dinner and finished the walls so ceiling tomorrow then the final wash down to get rid of all the niggly little bits of paper. DH was really pleased about me finding his height chart - he wants to photo it before its painted over. we have a while as once ive finished preping this week it will take about a week for the old bathroom to be taken out and the new shower sink and loo to go in. then i get to start painting.
Going to do an intensive HHC on the kitchen before DH comes home so at least something has been done here.
Hes doing his weight training tonight so that gives me an extra hour to get tea organised as well.

Thanks to Dusty and JJ for the lists. I hop in and out, but I now get a nudge from DH every time the 'Energiser flying cat' stops.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
Dh has really taken the kitchen to task and its gleaming. The liquid drought has cleared this afternoon and I wish I had done some washing. We have been to Mr T's £19.76 by using my vouchers and clubcard vouchers (still have the clubcard point ones though). Then on to the butchers and bought multi-packs of meat for £20 and gained 2 loyalty points. So a lovely cheap shopping day.
The Nurse, has reviewed me and they are going to sort out some more help and get my DLA re-assesed.
Just chilling now and arguing with The Chase:rotfl:

Hi all, well I have done nothing since posting earlier except make dinner and put the washing out to dry.
Been to the docs and got some strong tablets that are prescription only so fingers crossed I will be in less pain and be able to get a good nights sleep soon!
I'm so tired and drained I can barely string a decent sentenect together, and my siciatica has flared up but the doc said not to take any pain killers apart from paracetamol!
I'm actually feeling rather sorry for myself so when my children go to bed I am going to get my duvet an settle down on the sofa for the evening, may just sleep on the sofa too.
Sorry all I have done is moan today! I'm hoping to be better tommorrow and join in a bit more xx0 -

i remember when i was in labour with one of mine both me and DH thought there was a dog loose in the corridors we could hear something howling and baying, The nurse noticed us keep looking at each other and she just said we get howlers in sometimes but she is quite vocal. we both started laughing i honestly didnt realise it was a woman in labour the sounds werent human in any way.:rotfl:
just keep telling yourself every contraction is one nearer to meeting your beautiful new baby.SPC~12 ot 124

Oh I hate listening to screamers on delivery ward.. it pee's the staff off immensely as well.. there really isn't any need!! and it does no good whatsoever.. My aunt got a slap for being hysterical and screaming... I never made a sound other than the odd growl when someone spoke to me and asking to go home because it didn't hurt there! lol.. I threatened to get off the bed and go punch the woman in the room next door to me.. after I had punched her idiot husband if the staff didn't shut her up.. she was about 3cm and he was bawling like he was at a football match and she was screaming like a banshee.. sadly the staff shut her up lol
kitchen again destroyed.. Squeak threw food everywhere!. more sweeping and flinging required.. several bits sent home with DD1.. FLING!!!!
Right.. that's it.. these 2 are screaming louder and louder for absolutely no reason so are both being stuffed in bed!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
