GI... I get a tesco carrier (biodegradable
) and put all the slugs and snails in that I can find and tie up the bag and put it in the wheelie bin the day before bins are emptied.. byebye snots! My cat eats slugs so I need to keep the population down.. living next door to a salt distributor helps with the population though

Thanks Pigpen. If i find one indoors I flush it down the toilet!! The problem is I don't see them, or know where they get in (suspect it is floorboards/skirting/doors), I just see their horrible slimey trails! Yuck!!0

follow the trails back to source and a-salt there.. I have a gap in the kitchen I fill with salt every so often to get rid of the blighters.. they love cat biscuits!! you could try laying a plank of wood across the lawn and every morning turn it over.. the slimy buglers hide under it and when you turn it over the birdies come eat them!
MONSTER tesco order done.. over £550!!!! seriously huge shop.. but we are so low on everything, though that doesn't include any nappies or cleaning stuff!.. I did save over £50 in offers and have stocked up on meat and frozen veg etc so I won't need any of those for quite some time! There is no way we could have done that in one shop.. it must be 3 trolleys worth! I'm doing an approved foods order later in the week when I have a spare £50 but I think I may have just blasted this months food budget lol.. £700 is the budget.. it had to be increased by £100 when DS3 was dx with diabetes and needed different stuff.. and I have hit £850 already this month and we are not quite halfway through! I have sauces and ketchups and cereal to buy yet!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Wow pigpen I don't envy you putting that away!

Morning all
Nanamia don't waste your time reading last week just start with today; slowly, steady you can get it done.
Goodintentions I like the blueberry lateral thinking. I like Pigpensupside down plank idea. Anything upturned in the garden, saucers, grapefruit halves, frisbees they will collect over. I then tip them into pots of salt water in the garden to finish them off.
Off to make DS3's pack lunch, empty DW, feed cats and then heading to the poke DH into the shower. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all!
Got a bit behind towards the end of last week - got a 'bug', felt dizzy and yukky so didin'#t get much done on Friday - but back again now!
Weather nice so far but it's going to pelt down later so no leaving the washing out today! Got all of last week's washing out on the line on Saturday, it's ironed now and waiting to be put away - job for this evening methinks!
Did some baking on Saturday for a mini cake sale we had on our dog walk yesterday - we raised just over £100! Had a lovely walk too but came back with 2 very dirty beagles - why do they like rolling in such disgusting stuff!
Oh well, shower and work is calling - have a lovely day everyone, list looks very manageable (especially as the cupboards were wiped down over the weekend and my sink is always shiny lol!) so I will be a happy bunny tonight.
Have a good day everyone!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

Greenbee~ if I wasn't so busy working / trying to save my business / temping to bring in extra money at weekends, I would love to come and do your garden, I have loads of aquilegias!! if I get a spare day / weekend etc and you are around I'll be down!
I had a slug or snail in the green house and it ate some of my seedlings, I found salt seem to do the trick.

Have woken up knackered and a little bit peeved with Mr F who was meant to do dishes etc yesterday and has left them all  He claims he'll do them later today but I suspect I'll be quite cranky when I come home from work to find it's in the same state it is now0
