Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Hi big momma,
Found this in the Metro earlier this week and kept it, haven't had chance to make them myself yet...
Italian biscuits:
300g icing sugar
300g ground almonds
2tsp honey
3 egg whites
butter or oil, for greasing the baking trays
apricot jam, creme patissiere or flaked almonds to finish- mix icing sugar and almonds.
- add honey and egg whites until you have a firm, smooth dough
- stick in fridge for 30 mins
- preheat oven to 150C/gas mark 2
- lightly grease two baking trays
- after 30 mins, divide dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each piece into a sausage shape
- slice each sausage into 8-10 pieces
- pop onto baking trays the gently press your thumb into the centre of each biscuit to leave an indent
- fill indents with whichever filling you picked
- bake for 15 mins

do you have oats or weetabix or musli?
if you have you can make a fruit cake.
1 cup oats or musli or weetabix
1 cup sugar (i use half a cup and half a cup of mashed banana)
1 cup sultanas or any dried fruit or choccy chips
1 cup milk
mix together and leave for an hour. i also put cinnamon in mine.
add 1 cup sr flour
bake on 180 for around an hour. my kids love this. and it is really nice warm out the oven with a little bit of butter/jam on.0 -

Thanks so much for this - just made one with muesli and cinnamon and can't wait for it to cool a bit so I can try it - looks and smells delicious :T"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0
