No idea about the Manchester Legoland but the Windsor one my daughter - who is lego mad finds amazing. I started taking her from when she was 2 and a half and she is now 5. She still loves it and I have gone for the annual pass as we go a lot! She's never been bored and will go on the same rides constantly!

manchester legoland isnt a theme park, it only has two rides, and only one of those is suitable for pre-school age kids - its more like a museum, with lego based activities, or dare i say, an interactive shopping experience where you get to try before you buy

Wondering if anyone has been to Legoland Manchester??? I have a 2year old, nearly 3, who is vechile mad and loves building with duplo etc. I was thinking of getting an adult ticket and taking him as he is free aged 2 or under, would make a really cheap morning / afternoon out for us which I think he would love. Any thoughts? Is he too young? I know he won't sit in the cinema section, but that doesn't matter, I just think he will love the mini city as he loves the train at our local garden centre at Christmas mocked up around a mountain village.

    Appreciate any input.

My friend took her 2 sons (4 year old and 2.5 year old) and she said it was more suited for more older kids.

    This was very helpful thanks!

Drayton Manor, Howletts Zoo and the Sea Life Centre for us this summer!

As far as Howletts is concerned if you can stump up the cash you can get a years passport ticket for the price of entry (£19.95 when I got mine) admittedly its a lot to pay out all in one go if you have a big family but then you can go whenever you like for free for 12 months.

I got my passport in October last year and must have been at least a dozen times since, so well worth the money IMO
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Thanks for that. Just ordered 4 x vouchers for Legoland Windsor for £30.

Not on the "days out" deal as such, but still on offer compared to usual £11.50 voucher price. Planning to spend 2 nights in a hotel nearby as its just under a 4 hour drive for us. Kids will be over the moon as have wanted to go for ages. :D

Bluecow - just a tip about legoland - like any big theme park, try and avoid the summer holdiays. And , they do have a much reported problem with wasps during the hotter months. So be prepared. Having said that , we went in August ( I think) one year and had a fantastic time. A very clean and younger child friendly place to visit.

Just ordered some Tesco ' dyas out vouchers' . Can you use them in conjuction with other sites 2 for 1 offers as well ?
    eg Drayton Manor.

No, T & C's state cannot be used with ANY other offer and just as an aside Drayton Manor is not on the Days Out code, it's separate on Buy in Full

    Can anyone help?

Was looking to order some days out vouchers for use week after next (half term holidays) but was wondering if they would come in time?

Does anyone know roughly how long these are taking to arrive at the moment?

    TIA

Ironbridge is very big but well worth going to. Bear in mind the museums aren't all near each other. The passport allows you entry to several museums in the area. We were there a week and didn't manage to see everything.

Blists Hill Victorian museum is well worth a visit. I would love to go back to the area again. The area is lovely even without the museums to visit.
A week!!! I have only allowed us 2 days!!!!! I thought that should be enough - we are going to struggle aren't we? If that is the case, and it is a passport that we are buying, we will just have to go back! Thanks for the info

I live in Ironbridge way so give me a wave won't you :D

The museums are all very much specific to tastes.. I would highly recommend checking out the websites and some reviews online.. and then making a list in order of choice of ones you'd like to visit. You might find you visit some of the rubbisher ones and then feel gutted you missed out on amazing places such as Blists Hill :) On a side note, take a picnic.. Ironbridge is all riverside and a beautiful, quiet place to just park your bottom anywhere and eat... enjoying the view.

I hope you have a lovely time!
