Identity fraud.. Long drawn out process.. Don't know where to go from here?

Hi everyone

This is my first post (apologies for its length!) but I have been reading the forums for about a year or so now and I have learnt valuable information to getting more or less debt free :)

However, I have one problem which I don't know how to deal with. Basically in 2010, I noticed an account default which I did not recognise (in fact it was the only default I have ever gotten on my credit file). It was registered by Aktiv Kapital for £584. Upon contacting them they told me it was a Harvey Nichols store card which was opened in Jan 2009 at an old address. I was a very skint student at the time it opened and it is not a store i have ever shopped in (my shopping tastes were more Primark and New Look) so I am 100% sure it is not my debt. On another note, at the same time period, i had problems with my mail as I lived in a block of flats and my mailbox was broken (which the landlord refused to fix) and our postman would occasionally just throw all the letters on top of the mailboxes rather than sorting them out and I also had fraudulent items being paid for using my student account although I always had possession of my card (my bank returned this money once ringing me to confirm I had made these purchases which I hadn't).

This began the very long and tedious journey trying to find out the details of the account and it being passed on to another debt company and back again and also filing a police report.

About a month ago, I finally got details of the card to contact the Lewis group and also Aktiv Kapital sent me a letter saying there was a CCJ on file (which was not seen on my credit reports online). I have since contacted the Lewis group and they have sent me a copy of the original application form. From previous dealings with the CAB, they told me if my signature was not on the agreement, it was not enforceable. I am now confused as when I received the original document, my name is printed on the bottom and it is dated.

The Lewis group have said if my signature is not on the application form, they will take the default off my file as well as removing the CCJ but if my name is just printed, where do I stand?

Apologies for the long post. I did get into some student debt which I have finally sorted so wanting to rebuild my credit file. The long drawn out process and then not knowing where I am is just frustrating!

Thank you for any advice in advance x
