Sunday 13th May - What small DFW things will you do today!? :)

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :j

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :T
Today I will -

- Check online banks
- Do full load of washing and hang outside to dry
- Lunch and dinner from home
- Tidy up the house and get ready to move, only 3 weeks now!

Have a lovely day everyone! x

Did the main Tesco shop. Found another 5p off a litre of fuel voucher in a discarded trolley and got another one for the spend in store!

Favourite purchase was frozen Alaskan salmon. Reduced from £10 to £5 but I also had a £2.75 off voucher that they'd sent me weeks ago. On top of that, an I store magazine had a £1 off frozen food voucher in it. So I ended up paying £1.25 for something that will be the cornerstone of 2 main meals for 4.

Planned the week's meals and what leftovers will make the next day's lunches.

Made an arrangement with the mother of a child in my son's class to share cookery ingredients for the next few weeks. Getting so many leftovers because the smallest pack sizes are too big!

Now need to plan some time for home cooking to use up those leftovers!
  • Hi all
I'm just back from a not very mse shopping trip - however when I consider how much I would normally spend in the bad old days then £26 doesn't seem horrific. And I got to spend some child free time with a friend.
    Other stuff

    :) flylady
:) cut grass before the next attack of rain hits us
:) washing done and on airer (may have to buy another airer to keep up with volume of washing)

Today I am remaining indoors to make sure I don't spend any money.

I'm also doing some work, which should get a couple of extra hours on my flexi-sheet.

    Hi 925pws

Slightly OT but can you take any old mascara to the Clinique counter for exchange, or does it have to be one of their's?

Good evening everyone, I've had one of those days where I have not stopped but got nothing done.

The jobs that I have got done today:
    :)Caught up with emails
    :)All meals from stores
    :)Done surveys and one poll
:)Got all the laundry up to date and hanging up inside.
    :)Organised diary for next week
    :)Barcodes and recipt submitted
:)Checked Mr A order & put everything away
:)Made a start on sorting through course work
    :)Done volunteer work
:)Spent quality time with the kids and made sock puppets using old socks and thread so a cheap form of entertainment.

I think that is everything that I have managed to do.
