I have ordered one for my son to pick up from his local branch and now worried they won't let him collect. What does he need to take as proof of purchase? Does anybody know if confirmation email on his phone would be ok as he hasn't got a printer. Thanks.0

whenever I've collected an order from Wilkinsons all I have needed to tell them was my name and the order number. Have never needed anything printed out so he should be ok.0 -

I picked mine up last week but still haven't unpacked it. I know it's only £5, but it's actually quite big and I have v limited work space. With a 900w plate I wonder if it's going to cost a lot to run?yes it is in store as I got one a few weeks back. Not the best coffee maker in the world but ok for a fiver, I guess.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

It will only use electricity whilst you have it switched on, so after making the coffee the hotplate is only used if you want to keep the coffee in the carafe hot, the actual making of the coffee should only take a few minutes, e.g up to the 4 cup line takes about 3 minutes to produce the coffee into the carafe, if that is all you require it can be switched of as it is unlikely you would need to keep the hotplate on for what would be less than a mugful after pouring the first cup.
1000 watts is 1 kilowatt, so depending how much your electricity units are, e.g 14p per Kw, ergo 1 Kw used per hour equals 14p, 900watts used for 10 minutes would cost about 2p.
