Mortgages and being on the electoral roll (or not!)

Sorry, this may be a silly question that's been asked before, but here goes:
Following her death, I'm in the process of buying my mother's house. The property is unencumbered, but my sibling has a 50% interest as joint next of kin, so myself and my partner are looking to raise a mortgage to cover 50%, plus a modest amount for much-needed home improvements. The total LTV would be about 70% (the value of the property is very low). We don't yet have a grant of probate (it's in progress), but we anticipate no problems, and have an appointment with a high street bank soon to discuss borrowing (who know about, and are fine with, the probate issue).
My problem is, despite having lived in the property I want to buy for 40 years, I've never been on the electoral register. I've had credit of some form or another for 20+ years, ranging from mobile phone contracts to credit cards (with my own bank as well as externally). I've always been spotless in terms of keeping up with payments and am debt free at present.
But, I only applied to join the ER last week
(my partner, who's much younger than me, has been on the ER for an unbroken stretch of 7 years at the same address, and is also a goodie where credit management is concerned).
All other things being equal, are we likely to hit a snag with me being so new to the ER (and, potentially, not even on it yet - the council haven't wrote back to me yet).

Thanks, I'm hoping not, anyway. I'll feel better when my application to joint the register is acknowledged. That way, at least I'll show on the ER - albeit as a very new entrant - in the near future. I registered just before the local elections last week and there was some bumf on my council's website about if you apply by a certain date (which I did), you should be registered in time to vote - but no response yet.0
