And save for a car is an option however I for once in my life would like to have saving and spare cash in my bank.
Its ridiculous to be paying interest on car finance when you have cash in the bank! The interest payable on your loan would be far more than anything you can earn on any savings.

Maybe you have been stung for used cars because you dont have them checked over properly, i know of 2 people who have bought a used car of 10 years old and are both still going strong despite being old and alot of miles on the clock.
I own a 2001/y-reg Volvo s40 1.8. I bought it with 157,000 miles on the clock and in 4 years of ownership now has 243,000 miles on the clock. Would you believe it if I told you I have had ZERO repairs on the car ever since? (aside from 8k mile service's and a cambelt.)
And I never had it checked over when I bought it. All I did was a bit of Google searching and knew these cars where the last of Volvo's effort at being Volvo.
It's all down to the car you buy. If you want a solid car, for gods sake, buy an older Volvo! You will not loose. However, DO have it checked over for things like rust etc.
FYI, the value of these cars range from £750-£1,500. You can buy one with around 90,000 miles on it for £1,000 in perfect working order!
My car has heated leather seats, climate control, cruise control, sunroof, trip computer, the lot! Most of these things are only recently becoming standard on cars that cost £15,000. That's disgraceful!

Can i ask why you quoted me, i wasnt against the idea of buying second hand cars but more pointing out to the OP that she was taring all second hand cars with the same brush.0 -
Been honest any hint of a trust deed showing on your file, vauxhall finance will run. Not at 0% for 5 yearsDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
