Need advice on a very frustrating employer

princessdon - you are right. everyone is confrontational. I try to avoid it because when I get going I can become quite nasty and very blunt. It can shock or hurt people. I will definitely do what you suggested about letting him know what I have learnt so far from being there. The annoying thing is that last week he said he knows that I work very hard and am organised, but I don't understand why he is still giving me a hard time. What I have not appreciated is that if he wants to moan about me and ask what work I am doing, he goes to another employee and she tells me what he has said when she is very drunk. It happened a month ago and it happened again last night. With this woman, we have got on very well from the beginning, but I don't trust her. She is a 'yes person' and kisses his !!! all the time. She didn't stick up for me when I had that problem with the editor a few weeks ago. ah well....
gibson123 - I know I do have the confidence to go into the office and be a cow, but there is a part of me that is afraid. Really don't know why0 -

Perfect.
There is a saying pick you battles.
By being selective you will win more and possible even when you are in the wrong because you don't do it all the time.,0 -
I can gurantee he just wants you to show a bit of back bone. Media is a HARD area to work in, and if you can't even fight for the job, what chance have you got of staying it.
Work hard yes, but TELL them about how HARD your working and how MUCH your better than everyone else. If it means stepping on feet, do it. Its the industry.0
