I want a wind up or solar reading light.

I can't afford to spend much, but really want a wee torch or reading light that doesn't need batteries.
My Dh works very hard, and a bedside lamp bothers him trying to get to sleep. I have had a couple of reading lights which use batteries, one of which uses the batteries up in one night, so I can easily understand why it was sold to me at a car boot sale!!!
I did get a wee clip on one from Asda for just £2, which has been good, but you now have to hold the button on it all the time, otherwise it just clicks off. The batteries do last well in it ( I changed them about a month ago, and they maybe need changed now).
I have seen wind up ones in town, but would love some recommendations. The last wind up one I had, only gave light for a few minutes and was noisy to rewind, so not ideal for night time.
Has anyone tried a cheap one from the high street that did the job please?
This one from Amazon looks good, but there are no customer reviews that I can find and I am reluctant to spend a tenner unless I'm sure it will be good.

Never found a wind up one that lasts long enough. The LED one I got for my e-reader is still going on 2 AAA batteries from Christmas. Would say rechargeable batteries & an LED light would be better.

Thanks for that. I just spotted one on ebay with a wee solar panel too, so that may be worth considering.
Hadn't honestly thought of using rechargeable batteries!
Would you be able to put a link for the one you got please?Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Have a look in Asda for their wind-up LED torches, they were on offer and similar to this

I had something similar to this........

when we went camping, as it would charge up during the day. They do make a noise when winding them up.
Now a have a LED clip on light for the kindle and it doesn't disturb OH when I am reading in bed. i think it was about £15 from amazon.
